How to Care for Your Jewellery

Care for gemstone jewellery as you would any of your valuable possessions. Protect your jewellery from contact with perfumes, cosmetics, hairspray, chlorinated or salt water and household cleaning products. To avoid scratching, your jewellery is best stored in the gift box provided or in separate compartments of your jewellery box, never store your items together.

All silver, once exposed to the atmosphere and contact with skin, is prone to oxidation and subsequent tarnishing. When this occurs we recommend gentle rubbing with a lint free polishing cloth which should restore the original shine, Selvyt® cloth available below. For heavier discolouration a specialist polishing cloth is required, Sunshine cloth available below.

Sunshine Polishing Cloths
Quick polishing cloths. These non-staining cloths remove tarnish from precious metals, brass and copper. Just rub the surface to be polished. Each cloth is impregnated with special chemical cleansing agents and non-scratching micro-abrasives. May also be used to brighten chrome, wood, ceramic, hard plastic and glass.
